Sumer’s a-cumin in, dearhearts,
With Sunshine as well as with Shade,
And everyone surely will thirst for,
Glasses of Cold Lemonade!
Beyond reasonable doubt I am certain,
That Baxendale told Hadley, “I confess,
Had you plied me with Cold Lemonade,
I’d have sent you that shaft by express!”
And then there was poor Mrs. Palsgraf,
She would have been fine had she stayed,
Safe inside that railroad station,
Drinking glasses of Cold Lemonade!
Last consider please, Dudley and Stevens,
And the fate of that young cabin boy,
Too bad that those sailors did not have,
Cold Lemonade to enjoy!
So make Lemonade every summer,
Drink plenty, because you just saw,
How Cold Lemonade in abundance,
Could have altered the course of the law!
